Some of you may be wondering why I’m usually wearing long sleeves in a Central American Country where the average temp is probably around 90 degrees. The truth is it’s actually cooler when the intense rays of the sun aren’t hitting your skin directly. Also, at night it’s a little harder for the mosquitoes to get to you, though they can still bite through one layer. So I usually wear a couple layers if I’m going into the villages in the jungle at night. Mosquitoes are bad out there. Not so bad in the hills of San Ignacio at night, gotta be happy about that.
